Licence & terms

Last updated 2 November 2026

The short version. Use the sounds in as much music and video as you like, commercial or not, forever, with no royalties and no credit required. One purchase covers you, or your whole company. Anyone you make that work for can monetise it without buying anything. Just don't pass the sample files themselves on to anyone outside.

What you're buying

A non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use the sounds in the pack you purchased. The same packs are sold to other people, so no buyer gets exclusive rights over any sound in them.

One purchase covers one licensee, and a licensee is either an individual or a single organisation. If a company, studio, label or agency buys, everyone in it is covered — staff, and freelancers while they're working on that organisation's projects. One purchase, however many people. You don't need a copy per person.

A freelancer covered through a client's licence is covered only for that client's work. To use the sounds on their own projects or for other clients, they need their own licence.

The licence isn't transferable — it stays with the individual or organisation that bought it and can't be sold on, sub-licensed or passed to another company.

What you can do

No royalties are owed, no clearance is needed, and crediting Dry Hits is welcome but not required.

Client work, labels and companies

The licence covers the person who works with the sample files. Everyone downstream of your finished work is already covered by it and needs nothing from us.

So if you produce a track or video for a client, a label, an agency, a brand or your employer: that work can be released, broadcast, advertised with and monetised by them, commercially and without limit, with no further licence, no royalty and no payment to Dry Hits. The same goes for distributors, streaming platforms, publishers, broadcasters and anyone else who handles the finished work. None of them need to buy anything.

A company buys once. Whether three producers or thirty touch the files, one licence covers the whole organisation, and the files may be shared internally among the people working on its projects.

What you can't do

The line is simple: the sounds can travel anywhere inside your work. The files can't travel outside it.

Ownership

Every sound in these packs was produced by Dry Hits from scratch. Copyright in the sounds stays with Dry Hits; what you receive is a licence to use them, not ownership of them. You own your finished work in full.

Delivery

Packs are delivered as a download link on your order page after payment is confirmed and the order is released. Links are valid for 30 days and allow up to 5 downloads per pack. Keep your order reference — you'll need it, along with the email you paid with, to reach your order page again.

If your link expires or runs out before you've got the files, email support@dryhits.com with your order reference and it will be reissued.

Refunds

Because these are digital files that can't be returned, orders are non-refundable once the pack has been downloaded. Before you download, ask for a refund and you'll get one.

If a file is corrupt, incomplete or not what the listing described, that's on us: email support and you'll get a working file or your money back. Reaching for a PayPal dispute first just slows that down — email is faster.

Changes

These terms may change for future purchases. The licence covering a pack is the one in force on the day you bought it, and nothing here can be revoked for work you've already released.
